alright, so, after much consideration, i've decided to leave the site open. for a short while i left it virtually blank, primarily due to the fact that there would be very few arctic hospital related things to report on. though it seemed like a waste of time, at the time, this site can and would be useful to some, so i'll keep it open. just don't expect much if any arctic hospital news. there will be a total of 2 remixes to be released this year, and that's it. nothing else friends. not much to report on, so no sense in beating a dead horse you know? onto business:

- arctic hospital -
ilar & hedvall - lava (arctic hospital remix) - out sometime

ilar & hedvall - lava (arctic hospital revision) - out sometime later

arctic hospital music video - out whenever it's completed i guess

arctic hospital mix - soon!

and that's literally it for this year. though, if you 'quick witted' and 'awesome at the internet' or whatever the hell, you may find web releases by myself under different aliases. they will appear periodically throughout the year. good luck or something.

- the world on higher downs -
the world on higher downs - land patterns - ITS MY BAND. i've arranged, produced, mixed, and although the cd doesnt list it, halfly written our debut cd, Land Patterns. It will be out on May 19th in Japan via the now independent Plop label. English information is scarce at this point, but head on over to NatureBliss for info when it arrives. linked above is the myspace page of the group, so you can listen to tracks and such.

also i have in my posession a limited amount of 7" sampler records for it, on the label Plerck (yes, Plerck). If you'd like a copy, i will be selling them from this site for about 6 USD plus shipping (which will depend on domestic/international shipping rates). so if you'd like a piece of limited arctic hospital history, now is your chance i guess. send me an email about it.

- obtaining narita records -
the biggest news for me, and for a lot of potential listeners of Narita, is that i will more than likely be taking over the label starting early next year. from thereon in, i will be overseeing A&R, artwork, website domains and general creative management of the label and its direction. this will bring about a definite change in the way narita is being handled right now, both stylistically and consistency-wise. though there will be sometime before i take over, i plan to get things rolling immediately with a brand new and professionally done website which will catalogue all future releases. since i cannot take over it now, i figured i might as well get the ball rolling:

send me your demos. anything you want to send, i am game to listen to. please refrain from sending mp3 attachments through email, as they tend to clog up the system and takes more time than i want to invest. but if you have mp3s hosted elsewhere and would like to send them to my email address, please do so. keep in mind that it is a dance oriented label, but also keep in mind that i do not want to hear the same tired, uninteresting minimalist approach to music making. i am looking things that are intense, interesting and exciting. be it minimal or no, the music i am looking for should fall into these three facets. also take a listen to some of the more prominent artists that are currently on narita and ask yourself: can i produce as well as these artists? if this answer is no, do not bother sending material. you may have interesting ideas, but if they are produced terribly, all i will hear is decent ideas executed poorly. being 'different' is no excuse for your tracks to be produced badly, so keep that in mind.

quality control is going to be tighter, but i will allow artists much more creative freedom. i promise to listen to everything, so don't be afraid to send. don't expect replies unless im interested or feel there is potential. and don't email me asking for my thoughts. if it happens, it happens. also, we have a lot of time here before i take over, so work hard on tracks. spend the entire year on 4 tracks total if you wish, make them the best you can, to ensure the best quality. this is a label about quality, not trendiness. in short, don't send your hot french blog house here unless you are certain its the most amazing hot french blog house in the world. and also, dubtstep = no.

send away!

- oceans and oil -
and last but not least, i have started a new band with a local drummer. this material is both radically different from anything i've done before, which is primarily rock based experiments with singing. right now, in it's initial stages, there is not much to report. but this has amazing potential to be something fantastic, if i do say so myself. above anything else, i am intensly excited about this the most. you will most certainly hear something, someday.

and dang i think thats it. if you have any comments or questions, please send them, as i like reading them. thanks for listening.
